Q. I need to re-download a game or app I purchased?
A. We recommend everyone backs up their games and applications after they purchase them but, in the event that you loose the file/ backup copy, simply contact Support and we will set up a new download link for you.
Q. What's this I hear about DirectX?
A. All Binary Sun applications require directX to run. Windows 98 and above have the required version installed. If you don't have DirectX 7 or above then you can download the latest version from the Microsoft directx site, or get it from the cover disk of various video game magazines. Of course you should always try the demo of the game or application you're interested in to make sure it works on your computer.
Q. How do I get ExGen updates?
A. To update your copy of ExGen all you have to do is download the latest version from the ExGen page and install it over the old copy.
Q. I bought ExGen and haven't recieved my registration details yet?
A. There could be a number of reasons for this. Firstly, If you're a hotmail user, the registration details may have been placed in your junkmail folder. Secondly - a lot of webmail accounts let you disable emails from people who are not in your address book. People have been known to purchase programs and not disable this feature which makes it very hard to contact them.
Q. ExGen appears to start but then I get the error "Unable to create 3d scene". What should I do?
A. The easiest way to fix this problem is to change the colour depth of your monitor. To do this go to the start button, then 'settings - control panel - display'; and then change the colours in the settings section. Changing to 16 bit should work fine, but you may be able to run ExGen in 32 bit.
Q. When I add "smoke" ExGen crashes with a Memory violation, how can I solve that?
A. It seems during the compiling process the smoke bitmap was corrupted. To fix this download this replacement smoke image file, and then place it in the ExGen/media folder replacing the smoke.bmp file.
Q. I don't understand the registration information - how do I get my copy of ExGen?
A. To register your copy of ExGen you first need to download and install the demo. Run the demo and select either mode (Lite/ Demo) - go to the help menu and select Register. You are now presented with the registration screen where you enter the details you were given in the Registration email that was sent to you. Hit Register and ExGen is now yours to use.
Q. I can't / don't want to use ShareIt. Is there some other way I can buy your products?
A. No problem. If for any reason you can't use ShareIt then contact us and we will be happy to work out an alternative form of payment
Q. What's with the 'Firefox' logo at the bottom of every page?
A. Firefox is the web browser we use here at Binary Sun. Everyone here uses it because of the increased features and security it gives over more common programs like Internet Explorer. It's a free program so you don't have anything to lose by trying it out.
